Jackson Square Station Accessibility Improvements

We’re renovating Jackson Square Station to provide a modernized and fully accessible rider experience. Upgrades will include improvements for both bus and pedestrian connections and bringing the station into a state of good repair and compliance with updated accessibility standards.

  • Construction start: Summer 2025
  • Projected completion: 2028
  • Budget: $35.5 million
  • Status: 100% Design

Project Features

  • Installation of a new elevator and replacement of the existing one
  • ADA upgrades to fulfill code compliance requirements
  • Enhanced pedestrian circulation 
  • Upgraded life safety systems
  • Two new areas of rescue assistance on the platform
  • Improved wayfinding and signage throughout the station
  • Upgraded key station amenities for better rider experience
  • New south stairs and improved north stairs
  • Renewal of existing murals around the station in collaboration with the community
