Public Meeting | Green Line C Branch Accessibility Improvements (Hybrid)
Meeting Info
Attendees: Open to everyone
Event Description
At this meeting we discussed planned accessibility improvements for seven Green Line C Branch stations along Beacon Street in Brookline.
The Green Line is the oldest light rail in the country, and these updates will help modernize it. The project follows guidelines to make public transportation accessible for all and to improve the overall MBTA rider experience.
At this meeting, we discussed what will be updated, like making platforms higher for easier boarding, adding ramps, improving lighting, and installing clearer signs. These changes will make boarding faster and more comfortable, improve station access, and create a safer environment for all riders. We also discussed the project's ongoing public review process and community engagement strategies.
